With the RBA slashing interest rates in the past year, Australian investors have been complaining about the shrinking yield from their bank deposits. I guess we should still count ourselves lucky compared to bank depositors in Cyprus who woke up this morning to find that they may have a -10% return on their cash in the bank this year!
